Evgeny Prymachenko. Meditations

The circumstances we encounter may often cause disillusionment and despair. Events may develop unpredictably or render our intended goals seemingly unattainable.

Yevgen Prymachenko’s sculpture Meditations conveys this heightened emotionality experienced at the moment of the toughest challenges an individual may face. The male figure is done in the artist’s trademark style: his every work is strikingly laconic and dynamic at the same time. The form he chose may be the most relevant way to engage the broadest possible audience in his observations and meditations. That said, the sculpture was not intended to plunge the viewer into deep depression: to the contrary, it encourages the public to control its emotional shifts and to keep moving forward and actively achieve set goals. Despite everything, life goes on.
