Stepan Ryabchenko. The Dance of Life

The Dance of Life is a polyptych in six parts that embodies my understanding of the cycle of being through the image of a fantasy flower that I created. Its form reflects conception, blossoming and transformation as the endless movement at the foundations of all life. Each part of the polyptych rings out as a separate step in the large dance, bringing together dynamism, celebratory colors and deep philosophy. It is a reminder about the vulnerability and strength of life.

The work was originally created specifically for the tea house at Abramovych Sculpture Park. It is a space for contemplation, silence and inner harmony. The Dance of Life becomes especially resonant there, encouraging the viewers to observe the nature of being which is always in flux and ceaselessly renewed.

For me, The Dance of Life is an allegory of human life where each moment has its own unique beauty and inimitable deep meaning.
